Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Brian with the Flintstones, NYC by Nan Goldin. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,340.00 (€ 11,415.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nan Goldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brian with the Flintstones, NYC von Nan Goldin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 11.415,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nan Goldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
