In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Variety' booth, New York City by Nan Goldin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,900.00 (€ 19,025.57), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nan Goldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Variety' booth, New York City von Nan Goldin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 19.025,57) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nan Goldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
