The work Seiltänzer by Paul Klee was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 35,280.00 (€ 31,956.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Klee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bunte Landschaft in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,707,933.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seiltänzer von Paul Klee kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 31.956,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Klee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bunte Landschaft im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.707.933,74).
