Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Mother Nursing Child, c. 1970 by Raphael Soyer for USD 137.50 (€ 120.02). This price was achieved in the auction No Reserve Prints and Multiples Holiday Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raphael Soyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passerby in December 2009 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 60,354.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mother Nursing Child, c. 1970 von Raphael Soyer für USD 137,50 (€ 120,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Reserve Prints and Multiples Holiday Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raphael Soyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passerby im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 60.354,45).
