Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fashion-plate by Richard Hamilton was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,847.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Epiphany in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 557,000.00 (€ 768,020.27).
