Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Woods could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Grateful Dead changed hands for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,181.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Personal History in November 2009 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 40,016.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Woods konnte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Grateful Dead für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.181,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Personal History im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 40.016,01).
