Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Girls with Cars and Birds by Robert Crumb for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,482.73). This price was achieved in the auction Saturday@Phillips at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Crumb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vulture Goddess in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girls with Cars and Birds von Robert Crumb für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.482,73) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Crumb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vulture Goddess im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30).
