A top price for Robert Crumb - as previously expected
The work The Vulture Goddess by Robert Crumb was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Vulture Goddess is the most expensive artwork by Robert Crumb that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Vulture Goddess von Robert Crumb wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
