The work Chardin's GTO by Rosson Crow was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in September 2014. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,918.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rosson Crow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tea Room At The Plaza 1914, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,955.95).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Chardin's GTO von Rosson Crow wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.918,91) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rosson Crow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tea Room At The Plaza 1914 beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.955,95) versteigert wurde.
