Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laundromat-Locomotion by Steven Pippin was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2000. The price achieved of USD 2,820.00 (€ 3,023.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Pippin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Laundromat - Locomotion (Test Sequence), which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,239.27).

Die Arbeit Laundromat-Locomotion von Steven Pippin kam im Mai 2000 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.820,00 (€ 3.023,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden.
