Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Venetian Mirror by Theodoros Stamos. The price achieved of USD 38,175.00 (€ 36,980.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Theodoros Stamos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Divide in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 437,000.00 (€ 321,181.83).
