Upper estimate price exceeded by 60 %.
The work Octal, 1972 by Victor Vasarely was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Brussels in December this year. It achieved a price of EUR 1,280.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
