Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ben by Wim Delvoye was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2015. It changed hands for a price of EUR 56,700.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Delvoye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 265,313.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ben von Wim Delvoye kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 56.700,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Delvoye auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 265.313,28).
