In the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session auction, the work Cygnus I sold for USD 52,920.00 (€ 43,270.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Al Held have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Compass Rose in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 283,601.05).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Al Held erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Cygnus I für USD 52.920,00 (€ 43.270,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Al Held auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Compass Rose im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 283.601,05).
