Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Primo I by Al Held. The price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,433.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Al Held achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compass Rose in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 283,601.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Primo I von Al Held zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.433,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Al Held erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compass Rose im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 283.601,05).
