Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Ligne indéterminée (Indeterminate Line) by Bernar Venet. It changed hands for a price of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 194,322.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernar Venet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 221.5° Arc x 15, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 877,000.00 (€ 777,000.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ligne indéterminée (Indeterminate Line) von Bernar Venet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 194.322,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernar Venet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 221.5° Arc x 15 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 877.000,00 (€ 777.000,09) versteigert wurde.
