It achieved a price of GBP 185,000.00 (€ 237,054.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cady Noland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bluewald in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 9,797,000.00 (€ 8,911,224.30).

Die Arbeit Rubberneck Communion. von Cady Noland wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 185.000,00 (€ 237.054,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cady Noland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bluewald im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.797.000,00 (€ 8.911.224,30).
