The »bidding war« ended at USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,266.12), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Andre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Copper-Steel Alloy Square in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,411,250.00 (€ 2,796,877.07).

Die Arbeit Studies for Sculpture von Carl Andre wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.266,12) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Andre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Copper-Steel Alloy Square im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.411.250,00 (€ 2.796.877,07).
