In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Autumn by Conrad Marca-Relli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 138,600.00 (€ 118,027.76), 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Conrad Marca-Relli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St. Cyprian's Day in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,105,000.00 (€ 710,154.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn von Conrad Marca-Relli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 118.027,76) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Conrad Marca-Relli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St. Cyprian's Day im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.105.000,00 (€ 710.154,24).
