In March 2020 Christies in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included this untitled work by Cy Twombly. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,938.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cy Twombly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (New York City) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 70,530,000.00 (€ 66,777,125.54).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cy Twombly zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.938,07) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cy Twombly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (New York City) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.530.000,00 (€ 66.777.125,54).
