The work Paris by Elger Esser was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2016. The auction ended at the price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,922.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elger Esser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Doubt, Frankreich, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 137,000.00 (€ 124,071.73).

Die Arbeit Paris von Elger Esser kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.922,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elger Esser mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Doubt, Frankreich beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für USD 137.000,00 (€ 124.071,73) versteigert wurde.
