Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plate E, from: Kanarische Landschaften I by Gerhard Richter was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in London in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,976.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraktes Bild in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plate E, from: Kanarische Landschaften I von Gerhard Richter wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.976,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Richter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstraktes Bild im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.389.000,00 (€ 41.901.917,57).
