Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cupid And Psyche (Barsch 45; Boorsch & Lewis 50) by Giorgio Ghisi was sold in the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction at Sothebys in London in March 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,535.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Ghisi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory Of Life ('The Dream Of Raphael') (B. 67; Lewis 28) in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,546.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cupid And Psyche (Barsch 45; Boorsch & Lewis 50) von Giorgio Ghisi wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.535,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
