In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Natura morta a tratti veloci by Giorgio Morandi. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,753.56), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Morandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Natura morta in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta a tratti veloci von Giorgio Morandi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.753,56) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Morandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.332.500,00 (€ 3.712.510,71).
