Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two Prints by the Artist by Giuseppe Capogrossi was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 630.00 (€ 570.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Capogrossi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Superficie 106 in December this year with an auction result of EUR 419,500.00.
