Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paisaje Rojo-Azul by Gunther Gerzso was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. The price achieved of USD 176,400.00 (€ 147,639.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gunther Gerzso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja), which sold at auction in May last year for USD 529,200.00 (€ 493,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo-Azul von Gunther Gerzso wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 147.639,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gunther Gerzso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 529.200,00 (€ 493.150,68) versteigert wurde.
