Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Self-Portrait with Rudbeckias and Daylilies by Jack Beal for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,623.35). This price was achieved in the auction POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jack Beal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sondra And Table, No. 1 in June 2014 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,783.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self-Portrait with Rudbeckias and Daylilies von Jack Beal für USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.623,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Beal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sondra And Table, No. 1 im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.783,05).
