Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 VAN HAM in Cologne held the auction Modern, Post War & Contemporary, which included the work Inflammatory Essays. by Jenny Holzer. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,354.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenny Holzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arno Pair in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,453,732.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte VAN HAM in Köln die Auktion Modern, Post War & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inflammatory Essays. von Jenny Holzer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.354,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenny Holzer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arno Pair im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.453.732,18).
