In May 2013 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction The Spring Contemporary, Stockholm, which included the work "Pinocchio" by Jim Dine. The result of SEK 30,000.00 (€ 3,487.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Dine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fence (Sydney Close) in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 391,000.00 (€ 436,481.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2013 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion The Spring Contemporary, Stockholm durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Pinocchio" von Jim Dine zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 30.000,00 (€ 3.487,83) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Dine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fence (Sydney Close) im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 391.000,00 (€ 436.481,36).
