Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Up The Line, Miss? by John Sloan for USD 573.75 (€ 484.26). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sloan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Corpus Christi Procession in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 574,305.16).
