In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work La Chimère De Monsieur Desprez (Wollin 22; Baudicour 6) by Louis Jean Desprez. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,157.15), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Jean Desprez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 124,045.61).

Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Chimère De Monsieur Desprez (Wollin 22; Baudicour 6) von Louis Jean Desprez zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.157,15) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Jean Desprez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 124.045,61).
