Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Desnudo con rosa y negro (Nude with pink and black) by Manolo Valdés was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in February 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 160,636.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manolo Valdés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Infanta Margarita, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).

Die Arbeit Desnudo con rosa y negro (Nude with pink and black) von Manolo Valdés wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 116.500,00 (€ 160.636,20) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Infanta Margarita beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24) versteigert wurde.
