Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Night Scene by Marcel van Eeden for USD 750.00 (€ 623.86). This price was achieved in the auction Phillips x Artsy: Wrapped/Unwrapped at Phillips in an online auction and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel van Eeden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cat 17.1: Zurich in June 2021 with an auction result of CHF 23,940.00 (€ 21,836.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Night Scene von Marcel van Eeden für USD 750,00 (€ 623,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Phillips x Artsy: Wrapped/Unwrapped bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel van Eeden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cat 17.1: Zurich im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 23.940,00 (€ 21.836,56).
