Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,363.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Green - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The deckchair, which sold at auction in August 2015 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,774.19).

Die Arbeit Playing in the Sand von Margaret Green wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.363,09) einen neuen Besitzer.
