Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Broken Study by Mary Heilmann was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,992.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Heilmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Passenger in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Broken Study von Mary Heilmann kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.992,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Heilmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Passenger im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
