Signed Vlaminck. Executed in 1913. Gouache, watercolor and indian ink on paper, 37.5 x 45.5 cm. A certificate of authenticity issued by Wildenstein Plattner Institute, Paris, is included with the lot. The work will be included in the forthcoming Digital Catalogue Raisonné.

Sold at the upper estimate price
The work "Les Martigues" by Maurice de Vlaminck was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year. The auction ended at the price of SEK 100,000.00 (€ 8,616.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice de Vlaminck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage de banlieue in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 22,482,500.00 (€ 15,638,912.08).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit "Les Martigues" von Maurice de Vlaminck kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 100.000,00 (€ 8.616,48) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice de Vlaminck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage de banlieue im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.482.500,00 (€ 15.638.912,08).
