The work Buzz by Michael Kagan was worth USD 106,250.00 (€ 90,241.21) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Kagan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot It Begins sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
