The »bidding war« ended at USD 365,900.00 (€ 305,043.77), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Niki de Saint Phalle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nana Danseuse Noire (Grande Danseuse Negresse) - Circa 1968, which sold at auction in December 2015 for EUR 961,500.00.
