Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Garden Mirror by Olafur Eliasson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,005.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olafur Eliasson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fivefold Eye in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 748,500.00 (€ 1,074,895.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Garden Mirror von Olafur Eliasson kam im Februar 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.005,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olafur Eliasson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fivefold Eye im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 748.500,00 (€ 1.074.895,25).
