The »bidding war« ended at GBP 106,850.00 (€ 119,963.34), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).

Die Arbeit Le Repas Frugal (B. 1) von Pablo Picasso wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 106.850,00 (€ 119.963,34) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pablo Picasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 179.365.000,00 (€ 163.148.080,77).
