Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Per Kirkeby achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 212,500.00 (€ 235,963.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Per Kirkeby - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2019 for GBP 431,250.00 (€ 484,788.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Per Kirkeby erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 212.500,00 (€ 235.963,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Per Kirkeby mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für GBP 431.250,00 (€ 484.788,96) versteigert wurde.
