Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coin de Rue, from Quelques aspects de la vie de Paris: two prints by Pierre Bonnard was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 4,272.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 4.272,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard erzielen.
