Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction A Graphic Century including French Impressions: Prints from Ambroise Vollard and Henri M. Petiet, which included the work Place Clichy by Pierre Bonnard. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,134.00 (€ 1,098.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Graphic Century including French Impressions: Prints from Ambroise Vollard and Henri M. Petiet durch, in der auch die Arbeit Place Clichy von Pierre Bonnard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.134,00 (€ 1.098,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.570.000,00 (€ 17.553.143,78).
