(911 x 835 mm.) Sheet: 43 3 ⁄ 4 x 40 7 ⁄ 8 in. (1111 x 1038 mm.)
Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online, which included the work B Orange, from Three Aquatints by Robert Mangold. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,255.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Mangold achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 746,500.00 (€ 956,547.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit B Orange, from Three Aquatints von Robert Mangold zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.255,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Mangold erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 746.500,00 (€ 956.547,57).
