Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Seascape, From: Collection 65 by Roy Lichtenstein. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,758.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seascape, From: Collection 65 von Roy Lichtenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.758,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
