Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Phillips in London held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Three works: (i) Gary Hume Carnival; (ii) Helmut Lang, 2004; (iii) Wilhelm Sasnal, 2005 by Simon Linke. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,149.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Linke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Contemporary Art Part I, which sold at auction in December 2010 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,840.91).
