Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jason Martin (Green) by Simon Linke was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in September 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,180.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Simon Linke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Contemporary Art Part I in December 2010 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,840.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jason Martin (Green) von Simon Linke wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.180,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Linke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Contemporary Art Part I im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.840,91).
