This artwork by Stik achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Holding Hands (Maquette) sold for GBP 287,500.00 (€ 319,244.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. This high result makes Holding Hands (Maquette) the most expensive artwork by Stik that we have observed at auctions so far.
