Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Santa Claus VI) by Alexander Calder was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in January this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 765.00 (€ 704.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Calder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poisson volant (Flying Fish) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 25,925,000.00 (€ 19,006,598.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Santa Claus VI) von Alexander Calder wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 704,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Calder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poisson volant (Flying Fish) im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.925.000,00 (€ 19.006.598,24).
