Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Jacqueline Kennedy II (Jackie II) by Andy Warhol was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 126,071.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
